They’ve called their three-night Chrimbo extravaganza “The Mark’s Penthouse Holiday Spectacular” – and can readily plead “not guilty” to any accusations of hyperbole.
The three-day beano will see penthouse customers enjoy the Big Apple’s festive traditions to the max – and beyond. Where to start with the highlights? The hotel recently put a private skating rink atop penthouse’s 2,400 square foot terrace, overlooking Central Park and The Manhattan Skyline, which clients can enjoy, also using the space to sip hot chocolate under the stars come evening time.
A four-course holiday feast, specially created by The Mark Restaurant’s Michelin-Starred French-American chef Jean Georges Vongerichten, will be served in The Penthouse’s Dining Room: expect the standard to be set by Cristal Champagne and Imperial Gold Osetra Caviar. A pianist trained at private performing arts conservatory Juilliard will provide entertainment around The Penthouse’s grand piano later on, with fashion photographer Alexei Hay capturing the moments all the way.
Partakers can also expect a private rendition of the classic holiday ballet The Nutcracker in The Penthouse’s Great Room, or in a VIP box at Lincoln Center, or enjoy a private after-hours shopping spree at luxury Fifth Avenue department store Bergdorf Goodman. For the youngsters, high-end American toy brand FAO Schwarz (who are also providing an optional private shopping experience) have set up a Holiday Play Room, and expect, too, a private screening by the fire of a holiday classic or an unreleased Hollywood blockbuster, complete with Jean-Georges Vongerichten popcorn, candy, and s’mores.
You won’t be bending the concierge’s ear too much, what with a dedicated team including a driver, butler, nanny, massage therapist and even a resident Santa upon request, while the menu of luxurious services provided by French beauty entrepreneur Frédéric Fekkai’s Salon, located on the second floor of The Mark, include hair, makeup, manicure, pedicure and much more. Tailored personal fitness classes? Natch, with The Mark’s personal trainer extraordinaire, Daniel Flores, in the privacy of The Penthouse or in The Mark’s Fitness Center.
With airport transportation taking place to and from The Mark by car or helicopter, there really is nothing that could prevent this being the most special Christmas day since… well, the first in history.
