There’s more to the pandemic’s impact on charities than revenue loss caused by economic downturn: the cancellation of fundraising events is also hitting the sector hard. Just ask Teenage Cancer Trust, which has had to postpone or cancel numerous fundraising events, including one featuring The Who and Nile Rodgers & Chic which was due to take place at The Albert Hall this month.
Which is why Maddox Gallery has paired art duo The Connor Brothers up with Noel Gallagher (who was due to headline the Teenage Cancer Trust’s series of fundraising gigs through the Covid saga) to create a special print release in aid of the charity.
Only 100 of the prints will be available worldwide – and it will be exclusively available at Maddox Gallery from Thursday 18th March at 3pm. The artwork features lyrics from the late-90s Oasis track ‘All Around The World’, and is signed by both the artistic duo and Gallagher. You can register your interest here.
The Connor Brothers – who soon celebrate their tenth anniversary as an artistic force – have also carried out work which brings attention to the refugee crisis, and are official ambassadors of mental health charity CALM.
