The Duchess of Cambridge’s collaboration with landscape architects Andree Davies and Adam White on the RHS Back to Nature Garden is just one of the many highlights of the 2019 the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, which takes place from 21-25 May.
Now, though, there are two ways in which you can enjoy the event in style. Michelin-starred chef Ollie Dabbous (pictured) has announced the opening of Chelsea Barracks Kitchen – a pop-up restaurant nestling right in the heart of Belgravia – throughout the show. Informal all-day dining will be the temporary brasserie’s offering, with delectable baked goods brought over from HIDE Restaurant (Dabbous’s London eatery) alongside dishes such as Cornish mussels & yellow courgette in a nasturtium broth or a classic, always unbeatable croque monsieur.
“As a chef who is passionate about food and seasonality, Spring brings with it wonderful fresh botanical produce, making it my favourite time of the year,” comments Dabbous. “I’m looking forward to cooking in an amazing venue, producing outstanding dishes with a botanical touch that are both charming and delicious.
Also in Chelsea Barracks, two completed garden squares on site – Mulberry Square and Bourne Walk – have been curated by landscape architect Neil Porter of Gustafson Porter & Bowman, along with the team at Chelsea Barracks and the creative input of gold-medal winning garden designer Jo Thompson MSGD. The team has created two floral spectaculars for the public to enjoy in time for the 2019 RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
Your culinary highlight now nailed down (you can book here), accommodation is next on the list: and we recommend The Arch London’s Chelsea Flower Show Package, available from 15th to 25th of May 2019.
