Preview: Mark Bradford Exhibition, Hauser & Wirth London

A taster of the Los Angeles artist’s abstract, collage-paint fusions, which will be exhibited from 2nd October-21 December at the London gallery.

Remnants of posters and billboards, graffitied stencils, corporate logos and even hairdresser’s permanent endpapers, collected during his spell as a stylist, have served as the unlikely raw materials for Los Angeles artist Bradford’s textured tableaux, which offer subtle pop-cultural cross-referencing to keen-eyed beholders. Here’s a taster of what’s to come in his next London exhibition (including the work pictured above, A Five Thousand Year Old Laugh.
